Pre-Season Games 2018

Will probably go to the Leicester Road game, I've got nothing better to do this Friday.

Those thinking of heading to Derby - trains are borked:

Interesting to see Cav in that team.

Cav in with the reserves. Definitely leaving.

Game is live and free on the FC Basel official site, slightly disappointed Wolves are charging.

Losing 1-0, van Wolfswinkel.

Corner whipped in found it's way to the back stick where Mir got a decent touch from the angle to score into the roof of the net.

Shirts look fairly yellow on the tv cameras I have to say.

Giles and Mir aren't doing badly I agree. Unlucky Giles with that little run just.

Notwithstanding the whole "orange is/isn't closer to gold than yellow" debate, as much as it's taking me time to get used to it, I really dig the new colour. I always felt kind of... pretentious, I guess, telling people that the orange kits we've been in for the last few decades were actually "old gold", because, no question, they were straight orange, nothing gold about them, can't define colours our own way and overrule the rest of the English language. These kits are definitely on the yellow side of gold, but it's a real nice shade IMO. It's got a slight golden glow to it, I think, as opposed to the more "hi-vis vest" tone Watford or Dortmund tend to play in.

Either way, we'll always look like someone, I guess.

Giles, Rafa and Goncalves all looked good I thought, interesting to see Hause in that central role he looked fairly comfortable too
