Giles really is good, strong too.

He's been excellent in both games I've watched. The lowest he should be going on loan is L1.

If it wasn't for Vini I'd say we keep him and he's at worst back up (assuming he can tackle, still yet to see one - suppose this has not stopped doc though)

Yep, that one is on MGW but other than that he's had a pretty good game. As has Giles. Great to see two such talented academy products amongst the quality in our side.

We got better as the half went on I thought. Look rusty at times but that is normal. great chance for Jota who obviously thought keeper (Onana?) would go down early but he did well to stay up and Jota didn't commit to taking round him or shooting (which he should have done early, he was in no mans lands!)

Shame for MGW caught ball watching he was growing into the game. A good first half really enjoyed that, not too much in terms or goalmouth action but very interesting watching the development of various players. Pick of the bunch has been Giles for me looking to run at his man when he gets the ball and his range of passing has been excellent. MGW has definitely been working on his strength and other than a lack of concentration costing us a goal he is looking promising alongside Neves. Some lovely stuff from Cav who looks like he has just picked up where he left off last season.

I don't think we deserve to be losing all things considered and we certainly didn't look out of place playing a strong 1st half Ajax side.

We could do with a more focused forward, i like the fluid front three, but having Leo or similar up top would give us more bite

Should be winning really. Boly, Neves and Giles the standouts.

That was a really good test. Ajax superb on the ball, thought Neves & MGW we're doing brilliantly until the end.

Neres and Van de Beek look very impressive. Van De Beek would look good alongside Neves. Shame we missed out on Blind I thought he would be a really good signing.

I thought the commentary was pretty decent, all I can hear now is some scouser.

Only as a CM, I wouldn't want him at CH or LWB. Way too slow.
