Pre-Season 2023/24

Just me or on the Nunes one that just goes wide, Fabs should have carried on towards the goal rather than stopping and hoping for a pass?

Some shocking misses in there but some great chances created

Lovely cross from Giles for their disallowed goal

Definitely, that's a tap in if you gamble.

Some good stuff though, I didn't see any of the game live, was too busy boycoutting the club after we sold Kawabe.

I think he actually stopped because he thought Nunes had lost the ball before he bundled his way through

Nah he's in position to score if Nunes fires it across the face.qnd he does stop when Nunes shoots. Unsure if he'd have got on the end of it but he shouldn't have stopped..

I mean it really doesn’t matter but he stops here when Nunes ‘loses it’ and then doesn’t start again so a bit of both I guess

He's on the 6 yard line when Nunes shoots.

I'm going back to Fabio. That performance last night was a bit of an eye opener for me. I thought he had some ability but never thought he was going to be good enough to be an important part of the team and thought he had a poor attitude. I was in the wouldn't be bothered if we sold him camp. Last night has gone some way to making me reconsider.

He was our best player. He was the best player on the pitch. He worked hard, he did more than his fair share of defensive duties, he ran at the defence, he pulled them all over by finding space. The only thing his performance lacked was a goal and we know he can finish. If that is going to be a consistent standard for him not only should we definitely not sell him, he should be in our first choice 11 most weeks IMO.

The word in bold is the key.
I didn't watch of last night's game but I think back to the arse end of the 21/22 season when we were in terrible form and for me Fabio stood out. He worked hard, put himself about and made some very good runs, we just never bothered to try and find him. I did mention it quite a lot to Johnny at the time (any excuse to piss him off) but I thought he looked like he could become a genuine starter. It didn't help with the bloke out of the Money for Nothing video fucking him about so much.

Hopefully last season has made a mark and he's improved, I'd love him to succeed and be an important part of the first eleven. Moreso just as another excuse to tell Johnny how much of a cunt he is but if he sorted that striker position for a years it's a win win and £35m well spent. That's a big if of course.

Sa, Bentley, King

Ait-Nouri, Bueno, Dawson, Doherty, Jonny, Kilman, Pond, Semedo, Toti

Joao Gomes, Hodge, Lemina, Nunes, Boubacar Traore

Cunha, Hwang, Kalajdzic, Neto, Podence, Sarabia, Fabio Silva

Matchday squad for tomorrow.

If nobody wants him he may as well be part of the squad.

Be surprised if they are used, particularly as there are 13 subs and Jonny is in the list.

Have the U23s got a game and that’s where the spares from Wednesday have gone ?
