This is where I’m at. More defensive players chucked in the lineup simply doesn’t make us more effective defensively. So, despite the many problems with it, he needs to do something different with personal and formation going forward. And Arias and Lopez are simply what we have. I know I’ll be disappointed, as I know he won’t do it and instead we’ll be hearing a variation on the ‘at least we tried hard and that’s progress’ justification later today. But there we are.For me, we aren't going to start winning loads of games 1-0 so he needs to find an attacking spark as well as tightening up at the back, and that means probably getting some kind of consistent tune out of Arias or Lopez.
What a fucking waste of money Tolu was (not him as a player, just how pointless when we already have JSL who isn't getting dropped OR playing with Tolu), could have spent that money on some kind of pacy/creative option to turn to right now
I don't disagree, but you're right to say you'll be disappointed if he doesn't pick the likes of Arias, Tolu, JSL, Lopez etc, because there's absolutely no way he's doing that. This is where I’m at. I’d start at the back by picking new full backs. As the ones we’ve played have been demonstrably hopeless at defending. And attacking. We shouldn’t need to watch them again to learn that. I think most managers new to their role in challenging circumstances start at the back and make their way forward.
I think he will need a bit of time to familiarise himself with the players in all fairness.Do we not think Tolu will get more opportunities under Edwards? I suppose we'll have a better idea of what we 'to look forword to' later on.
He’s also one of the players who has done every training session with him because he didn’t get called up for Zimbabwe this time round.

An injury maybe? Even Chirewa was on the bench
First the points, then the pints. Poor old Vitor must've been parched by the time he left.Almost 7 months since our last win, 7 weeks since our last point. Grim
