The bullshit around "pre planned formation changes" gave me fucking flashbacks....
I’m furious that this man used “high-falutin”, and especially that he didn’t include the hyphen.

Theoretically I think the idea is okay, but you can only drill so many formations before you become mid at all of them, and there’s this little thing called “film” that would more or less throttle the strategy after a couple of matches. Unless you wanted to introduce a different formation every week, which would be… dumb?

The English version should be spelled hyphelieuten I think
 
It is so odd to me that time gets used to measure those streaks in football. How many of those 60 years did they just not play each other? Especially with pro/rel, there could be huge gaps between matches (not saying that’s necessarily the case here, specifically, but I think the point gets across).

Could be a British thing, happens a lot with cricket and things like Ashes, where series can be played 18months plus apart. Agree it's a bit weird.
