Norwich 1 - Wolves 2 the daylight robbery match verdict thread

Feels great not to be a Norwich fan. They should have been streets ahead by the time we got back into this. We owe a big thanks to Rui for that. We didn't fall apart, not even when we were falling apart. We owe Nuno a big thanks for that. It's 3 points won in circumstances that have previously see us take none which is a nice early Christmas present and not one I'm going to look in the mouth of too closely.

I just don't understand it, with a couple of exceptions everyone on here has been there through double relegations, league 1, Jackett and Lambert pragmatism. Yet they want to berate the best team they've ever seen on what appears to be a poor performance. Call the performance what it is, abuse of the players is pathetic

I will never get my head round it totally but I do kinda get Jinky’s point on ‘heat of the moment’ - me and my family were all convinced we should take Raul off but that would clearly not have been the right thing to do. (I don’t tend to read much of the match thread so haven’t seen the abuse of the players - nor do I wish to!)

Not sure it was robbery. We were awful first half, like really bad. Couldn’t pass to a black shirt and resorted to hoofs of which Raul won none. Rui made some good saves and they could have scored a few, but they aren’t very good so didn’t.

We then started playing and had plenty of opportunities to work something but didn’t because the front 3 are all collectively making poor decision in the final third, Jota the worst and then Raul, Adama is ok. If they’d slide each other occasionally rather than spannering into shins or running into people we’d have won comfortably rather than stealing a 1-2.

We played below our level, way worse than last week, but Norwich aren’t very good so we got the points. Happy days

i agree wholeheartedly, there are a few on the matchday thread who need to take a deep breath and wind their necks in.

Still only 9/10 for Nuno YW? Considering how he’s managed our resources this season especially considering the workload and for the pleasure he’s given me over the last 2 1/2 years I’d say he’s worthy of a 10.

Whatever the result this is the best team I have seen (or at least can remember) us have here. There have been superb individual players, but as a team this beats all others.

Shit first half, worst of the season by a long way.
Second half we played better but no where near last weeks level.

I have to say the Ref was the worst I have seen this season he was useless, how he missed the hand ball, and some of the fouls on Traore was abysmal.

The mood with us Wolves fans watching was sour, the Fins in the bar were happy...
in the second half our mood increased theirs did not.

I too suggested Cutrone for Raul, he wasn't at the races most of the game, but some of the comments re our own players are frankly getting out of hand, traditional/regional wordage or not.

it’s bloody freezing in sunny Norwich but were very happy anyway!

First half was absolutely rancid. Second half we were much more awake and Traore and the midfield two got into it. Great result.

Yes - perhaps I was a bit harsh!!

From the Guardian "Wolves produced a brilliant display of grit and fight, launching a brilliant comeback from a goal down to see off a resurgent Norwich side." Funny how different eyes see the same events

Dreadful 1st, but best team 2nd.
Fair play to God, we seemed to change to a deeper defensive line 2nd half and that helped us cope with Pukeeee easily.
Rui saved us altho had nowt to do 2nd half and Traore was always an outlet.
Dug out a result and the team should be applauded for that.

Fantastic result even if it sounds like we got out of jail.
As for the other thread, some of you are such a precious, entitled, bunch of tools.
From the these are shit, we'll smash 'em brigade before the game to the he's wank, he's shit, he's a cunt massive during it. A Venn diagram would show a massive overlap of the two. Feel free to read it back it's embarrassing

I’ve just read the thread and I’m intrigued with what’s made you come to this conclusion?

Except it isn’t heat of the moment. It’s a thought, shouted out loud, typed and then posted. Plenty of opportunity to think and consider before polluting people’s eyes.

I also thought Raul should have been hooked, he was playing like a show pony. But, in that moment I wouldn’t have wanted anyone except him on the pitch to do that.

That guy dives so much - spent more time on his arse than he did on his feet

He does , but when he does stay he on his feet he’s very dangerous! They won’t keep hold of him

Seriously? Really?

Monstrum calling all the players cunts? Every fucking single comment in the first half hour of play being ridiculously negative. Posters saying we were now doomed to lose FOUR ON THE BOUNCE. After 18 fucking minutes.

As I said, there are many, many posters who refuse to go anywhere near the matchday thread any more. It's fucking poison.
