Fucking hell. More convo about someone saying cunt than the game itself.

It happens often about the match day thread, the over the top comments then get even more over the top anti negative comments, quite frankly it gets very tedious from both factions, there is no need for the overtly negative views or the over the top responses.....its just peoples opinions in the heat of the moment, ffs calm down

Okay

As it is interfering with enjoyment for all, perhaps you would like the mod and admin team to make a ruling about it? I'm happy to drop it into the mod cave conversation if you want and it gets dealt with?

As a (somewhat retired) mod, our easier life would be if we banned the match thread entirely, but that would be insane, so let's see if we can make things work instead.

It just needs people to not be so fucking angry at every little comment, it always escalates, ban the the matchday thread, ban the verdict thread, ban the transfer thread, these seem to generate the most controversy, trouble is these are the threads that are most relevant, we'll just be talking about which pub some people are meeting in. Think I might not be cut out to be a football fan

Well, ask to be a mod. Run the joint then

Fuck that, I wouldn't be a mod if you paid me, I'm very grateful to the guys who do it, its a thankless task, a forum should be fun and for the most part it is but sometimes it just gets too abusive and bitter

Grown men arguing over the fact that somebody said the word cunt.

Didn't realise we've got the snowflake brigade here now too. Jesus Christ, I bet you lot are a barrel of fun to be in a pub with.

Get a grip.

I'll chuck my thoughts in here as a poster rather than a moderator. I can see both sides of the argument in that when we are losing negative comments get posted in the heat of the moment and that they don't always look too clever when read back later. I'm in agreement that we should cut some slack on the basis that we are watching the best Wolves side of my lifetime, and that anybody calling our players expletives shows the poster in a very poor light.

The use of the c-bomb is a personal dislike of mine and I think that it shows the forum in a very poor light and I would hope that all posters would refrain from typing and using it.

As for the game yes we rode our luck in the first half but did enough second half to get something from the game with the win being a bonus making up for the injustice of last Sunday.

Says the man who pressed report about someone using cunt less than 24 hours ago...

Can people just grow up?

Its like kindergarten on here.

Its really easy. If we are playing like Kuntz and people call it then its only a problem when they are wrong. Put the swear filter on you poor sensitive souls.
I love the match day thread and its even better when some passion and emotion comes over. The verdict threads are for reasoned debate. The match day threads are for the rants, swearing, passion, that we who aren't at the match want to get.

Heat and kitchen.

Nothing wrong with the c word. It gets chucked about at work all the time. It's meaningless really.

The match threads are bloody awful.

Victim shaming, nice.

Poster complains about a word being used then uses that word. Seems fair he's outed really.

The fact this particular poster doesn't post other than to criticise others seems rather hypocritical and you could argue pathetic, contrary trouble making.
