Non League Football.

As mentioned on the Ex-Wolf thread, they've been demoted to the Conference North (Aldershot reprieved from relegation) and Mike Williamson is now player/manager.

My second team Woking continue their flying start in the Conference (after getting promoted back from the Conf South last season) with a 4th win in the first 5 games

1 - 4 away win at Fylde (helped by a sending off in the second half)

Win away again (helped by another sending off against them - they are turning into the Bournemouth of the National league :) )

Only 7 games in & a long way to go, but expected that they would struggle till they got used to being back up.

Looks the crazy days at Billericay Town are over as they announce new owners of the club.

Crazy final few months for Glen the Mad One as he splashed the cash (signing Rhead from Lincoln was way above what a Conference South team should be able to do), told the fans to put big money on them winning the league, then sacked the manager for not picking his 16 year old in the starting 11 (he quit the club a few weeks ago), then put O'Hara in charge, then quit himself (for the 4th time) and has now passed the club on to a supporters committee to run.

Mad Tamplin is back in the game. New owner of Romford FC. First job - sack the manager and replace him with......himself.

Never seen him but I imagine him to be like Reynholm from the IT crowd

Should have seen this coming really!!

Just because he hired himself, resigned, rejected his own resignation, sacked himself, hired himself and sacked himself at Billy Town he is seen as predictable?

Romford are bottom of their league and today he has signed 15 players and set a modest target of reaching the play offs. I love Mad Glenn

Going to build them a stadium too apparently

Kind of need one. Better call it the Tamplin Arena or the Sorted for E's & Whizz Dome

Signed his son?

Haven't seen anything but it will be a miracle if he hasn't signed his lad.

From what I have read about him, he is actually a decent talent but his Dad was forcing him through the set up and into the 1st team

Classy

Big derby game this weekend in the West Midlands (Regional) Premier Division

Bilston v Darlaston

Shame it clashes with the Wolves game or I would have gone.

I shall shortly be off to Clarence Park to watch St Albans City take on Dartford in the National League South.
Will be my first football game since Wolves got promoted (what with it being a closed shop getting tickets for Wolves...).

nice one! I try to go to watch Dulwich Hamlet when I can, great place to watch football. Never been to St Albans City so might go this year!

Clarence Park is right next to St Albans City train station, so easy to get to.

Oh excellent, I will definitely go at some point then!

Nice day out. Dartford won 3-1 with two goals in stoppage time. A bit of a lively game, clearly the directions to refs to let the game flow have trickled down to the National League South, four big penalty shouts, at least one of which looked nailed on.
Bit of a bench clearing late on when one of the Saints players left one on a Dartford guy right in front of the away bench. Lost count of how many yellows the ref gave there...
The football was alright, yes some hoofs and occasionally scrappy, but also some good quick passing link play. Finishing could be better, but you could say that for some Premier teams...
Nice location, facilities obviously a bit basic, but good enough.

I've played footy against a couple of guys from that level and it was noticeable how when playing with the likes of me, how much better they are than the likes of me!

I was hoping to get to some Corby games this year but when I am back visiting family it's hard to justify breaking away to go watch footy!
