NFL: TWF Grid Iron 2020

No I agree. But I’m more likely to get a 3x (or anything decent) return on a D worth 2.5k than one worth 3.5k, especially when in all likelyhood you’re getting next to nothing for points allowed when even the jets can put up 14 points +/- without garbage time.

Like for example the packers. There a decent D and have restricted the panthers and picked up some sacks and fumbles on the way. But the Eagles, giants and Washington will likely get similar numbers for cheaper just because they are against a better offence, which doesn’t really matter because it only starts hurting you above 35 points. The fact that there is a 2 point difference between 14 points and 34 points is a bit of a shambles.

I pretty much always fail at picking a good defence, I basically go as cheap as possible and get 3 points or less most weeks. Should probably pay more attention to it tbh!

I pick Washington who are getting thumped, and my mate picks the Cowboys and they're on around 7 points!

Need the witching hour to save me. Taking out Gage, Jones Jr and deciding to pick Amendola over Hansen, Sanders/Tre Smith is looking like a total shockers.

Had a go on a few tournaments/multipliers this week for the first time in ages as I liked the look of the potential lineups, and managed to win $34 from about $6 in entries. 197.22 my best score.

Should really have stuck with my original QB/FLEX of Hurts/Fournette in our league before fiddling. Thought Watson had a higher potential ceiling than Hurts though :(

Helped by a bit of 'local' knowledge this week. The Eagles secondary being out injured (CB1&2 and Deep Safety) meant I went for the Murray/Hopkins double. Touch of luck seeing Zeke was out before 6PM meant I put Pollard in instead of Gallman which meant i could upgrade my Flex from Snead to Gage, which was worth about 46 additional points.

I did know all of that as the DKLive app updates me with all injury news, but I still didn't act on it other than putting Watson in, as I was happy with my lineup!

Doing this now while I get a chance at work.

Wasn’t rivalling that points total TT regardless of my DST faux pas and other bad decisions. Was picking Kamara whatever and that’s the pick that would have made the difference.

I haven't finished yet Bear, I might get 40 points tonight*

*this may be wishful thinking from a Pittsburgh WR

I’ve been bad some weeks and lost to 6th 7th but even when I’ve done OK it feels like I’ve lost to 1st 2nd.

I haven’t checked but that’s what it feels like. Particularly when I’m up there in the rankings but have a poor H2H.

It’s pretty clear I’ve been lucky in my head2heads.

Or you could say I’ve excelled at adapting to different opponents, sometimes transitioning, sometimes not.
