Also want to say I don't think we've gotten our tactics all that wrong. Would be nice to have someone in the role MGW played on Wednesday, but I think Nuno is trying to work out a way to beat opposition that go to five at the back. That has given us fits this year.

Don't necessarily agree with his proposed solution today but IMO it's not his tactics that have meant we conceded, it's some poor individual performances.

Tbh, I think for the first half of the first half we were the better team - albeit still not playing at our best - but since the equalizer the confidence and suredness drained from the side again. A draw is a fair result for that first half, but if things continue as they were when the second starts, Newcastle will win deservedly grind this one out.

Agree that Traore isn't working. If he'd cost a similar amount to Cavaleiro, you'd think fair enough, some frustrating-yet-occasionally-useful squad filler. But he's our record signing. Not sure how he isn't going to go down as a very expensive mistake.

Cav was pretty embarrassingly bad in a couple of games lately. Worse than Costa for sure at times.

he had one bad game (granted, a bad game), and was clearly the superior option in the other games he'd played.

he should be starting. end of. if he has another dreadful performance than it can be re-evaluated but he's not there yet.
