I can confirm it is all my fault: I put him in my fantasy team yesterday...
Sorry.
Changing my team to:
---------------------Patricio----------------------
-----Dendoncker-----Coady-----Saiss------------
Doherty-------Moutinho------Neves-------Jonny
----------Traore------Jimenez-----Jota------------
Subs: Ruddy, Kilman, Vinagre, Perry, Gibbs-White, Cutrone, Ashley-Seal
Thought you weren’t keen on BAS?
Same team for me, though if Bennet is fit then Donk in CM ahead of Neves.
Does it? Or is this the first moment where we will properly short as we hit the back end of October. If Benno is fit then it doesn't change much in terms of using cover. With every day that passes not buying a proper CB in the summer comes back to haunt us more and more
Noice fishing trip there JinklesSo that’s three central midfielders in defence then...
Neves better get his mojo back now, we can't really leave him out anymore
I worry about a 2 man midfield against the longstaffs, they'll run and run and run
Joelinton up against Vallejo and Coady is what nightmares are made of.
Only other alternative to DWs team is...
Rui
Saiss - Coady - Kilman
Doc - Donk - Moutinho - Jonny
Traore - Raul - Jota
Joelinton up against Vallejo and Coady is what nightmares are made of.
What - Joelinton who has been absolutely fucking crap all season? Dear me.
Joelinton?! You sure?
You have seen him play? He's not a bad footballer but he certainly is not Mitrovic/Rondon II. In fact that's been a huge part of their attacking problems, they can't just thump it up to the striker and have him hold off an entire defence while everyone else catches up.
Problem is that given how long we tend to take to fit players into our system (Donck, Cutrone and Traore stand out in particular, nearly £50m worth of players there, hardly any league starts between them in their first 4-5 months) - Mythical Centre Half #1 would have been parked firmly on his arse had we actually signed him. And had we not got this rash of injuries all at the same time, he wouldn't be playing any time soon either.
Good players don't tend to be massively keen on that.
