whilst out walking the dog I have seen several houses with the lights and tree up.
had an online meeting with someone for work last tuesday, and they had their tree up in the background.
One of 3 stepdaughters have their tree up.
There were media reports a month ago that verified "christmas creep" is a real thing, and it is getting earlier every year.

Crappy external HR firms not understanding that freelancers don't just have an HR department you can phone up and grab a reference from. It's obvious from my CV what I've been doing for 14 years.

You've had my tax returns, invoices, bank statements matching invoices, personal references if you want to go and check them. I can't give you anything else. It's properly putting me on edge, I'm now talking myself into the job offer being withdrawn and it's messing with my bipolar, I'm getting no sleep, I can't eat properly.

So the useless third party firm managed to sit on my file for weeks, and here we are three working days before I'm due to start...and they haven't been able to do the DBS check because my passport is expired. No problem, I just need to go in to the office to meet HR face to face with it so they know it's me. But it might push my start date back a little bit, depending how quick the turnaround is.

Annoying but at least I now know that everything will go through (there'll be no convictions on there, calling Matt Doherty a silly fat wanker isn't a crime yet), it might just be another week or so at most.

Agree with the sentiment, for sure, Trev. Obviously they've got a lot of proverbial pillows in their lives (expensive ones, at that), but must be at least a little odd to know everything you do on a matchday is going to get analyzed to smithereens.

Get the same thing here; more than once I've seen a player get railed for daring to smile after a loss or negative play. As if no teammate on the sideline may have cracked a legitimately funny joke or something. Panopticon shit. It's gross.
