New - The things that really annoy you

People who park so close to you, you can't get in your car.

Double annoying when the car park has about 20 other free spaces...why park like that you nobber

Erm, that might be me, I make a point of parking as close as possible if the other car isn't exactly central between the lines. Yep I know its childish.

I was fine. They parked right on the line. Bays not huge so my door couldn't open beyond a couple of inches.

Would have been a squeeze if they parked normally....or dead easy if they used another space.

Probably ends up in you getting your doors bashed.
Not too bothered, it's just a car and an old banger at that. I know it's ott but just park your car in the lines.
As LJ says modern cars are fucking massive, even little city cars are bigger than my old man's family car of the 60/70s, so you'd think people would take more care on their parking.

Have you tried to get a modern car into a single garage on a sixties or seventies build house? Hilarity ensues.
4.9m x 2.4m (16' x 8' if you's JRM) was the standard size for a single garage.

I know I could just get my c class in for width but opening the doors would have been impossible!

I used to work for a housing association. One guy was responsible for managing the garages, and his desk was next to mine. He spent his life receiving phone calls as follows (I would only hear one side);
"hello, x housing assoc...."
(mumbles)
"yeah, you're after a garage. What car do you have?"
(mumbled answer)
"yeah, that won't fit in the garanges we have I'm afraid."
end call.

Indeed IIRC the only people who ever did rent a garage that were approved was for storage, not for vehicles. Except for the one solitary motorcyclist.

My parents house in Stone was built in the early 60s complete with garage. By the 90s it was quite interesting getting dad's 900 series Saab in and out of the garage. Given it was a 2 door, it meant getting the nearside as close to the wall to allow sufficient room to open the driver door. By the 00s I never even tried with my Peugot 607.

New job 2 day induction. That was fine...usual bollocks you get on these type of things BUT...1 person taking part was born in 2007.
Refuse to believe they are old enough to work as 2007 was only a few years ago!!
