Yeah, I think the board have let him down.

Again.

We’d be getting that chant wrong, look how long it took to get Diogo right when we signed Jota

It seems the conspiracy theorists (that includes me) were 100% accurate in the assessment that Bruno was a dead man walking on the day we appointed him.

His only purpose was to bridge the gap between Nuno leaving and Julen starting.

This also explains why the purse strings were tight and then loosened to buy probable Lopetegui picks over the summer.

Lopetegui has some kind of leaving ceremony going on right now. Bit weird.

We should have had one for Lage, I'd have gone. I have loads of questions.

Swear he has said he needed a centre forward and called out Telles for not training properly.

Avoid...

What a load of shite.

We kind of did a similar thing with Nuno, tbf. Announced it in advance and gave him a sending off after his final game finished.

It would have gone on for days though. 1 question followed by at least a 30 minute answer that makes you forget what your question was

And everytime they tried to bring it to an end someone would pipe up that he needed more time

It's not spot on though is it.

I wouldn't claim we're anywhere other than where we deserve to be so far as we've been shite, but if MGW scores an open goal vs Fulham and Raul scores an easy 1-on-1 at Bournemouth, we'd very likely have 10 points and be 11th/12th. Same points as Liverpool.

We wouldn't have sacked Lage in those circumstances, regardless of what's happening at Sevilla.

He was a dead man walking in that there was a very high chance that he was completely unqualified and out of his depth, but plenty of us knew that anyway.

I don't believe Large was ever a long term prospect, his job was to keep his hand on the tiller and keep the ship on a steady course and not ask questions.

When he started failing he brought pressure on himself but not real pressure, I don't believe they expected much from him, a yes man to suit a shrinkage in investment, a pause if you like in the project, a reputation of working with young (cheap) players

When it started looking like he'd lost direction I think that forced their hand a little into making a move, probably a bit earlier than they had wished for.
