Wowsers this looks really bad, the more this goes on the more it eats up more time.
Why they bothered keeping Lage 1 game after the international break is baffling it was if they needed confirmation he was shit.

Not that we know how true the stuff in the media is, we have apparently spoke with others in the process since JL said no.

So with that in mind surely we have a couple of back up options to contact today rather than restarting the whole process.

We HAVE to make a decision very, very soon - as in the next 24/48 hours. We can't be going into yet another game nonplussed about the situation.

As DW said - there are still suitable names in the frame, get it done, get them in, get on with the job.

If Leicester lose tonight we might have another target
Sellers: What do we do now Jeff? We need a manager.
Shi: Calm down Scott, let`s see how Leicester get on tonight. Lose and we`ll have another candidate.
Sellers: But Jeff, they`re in a worse position than us.
Shi: Know yer place Scott, know yer place.

I would take Rodgers to be honest. I'm the same as DW: I'd take Martins, Nuno etc. They are all better than Lage.

Just being better than Lage might not be good enough. We are genuine relegation candidates a marginal upgrade won't cut it

Nuno Espirito Santo
3/1

Pedro Martins
7/2

Peter Bosz
4/1

Were essentially addicted to the crack that Mendes peddles now, no one else will touch us because we're so tainted, and so we'll have to go crawling back to Mendes.

He got us addicted with Nuno and Jota, and now can sell us Guedes and Lage knowing we'll always be chasing that high.

What odds on us having a new PM before we have a new manager..?

All of them are miles better than Lage who I wouldn't have at a League Two club.

Steve Davis is a League Two manager and he's better than Lage, by quite a bit as well.

Yes I understand how bookmakers work, having been employed by the parent organisation of one in a past life. Suspending a market is an absolute last resort to manage risk. They would not have done so if they weren't 99% certain that Beale was over the line.

They have access to better sources than Romano, Percy et al. They have the capital to facilitate those links. The fact that they suspended indicates that at some point today, he was definitely coming. No clue what happened to change things.
Realised we are a shit show

Anyone competent would keep us up. Some absolutely shocking sides in the league currently.

Not sure they would, I don't think Dyche would for example. We need someone who can coach the players we have, I don't think he could. It's why Beale is disappointing the fit looked good stylistically

He could. The football would be dross but he'd pick up enough points to keep us safe.

I'm back aboard the Gallardo train anyway.

No point going panto on this, but the side we have aren't going to dig in and get results, even Nuno would worry me if that were the approach

Most of them did it last season. Collins played for Burnley so he wouldn't be an issue. There's only really Nunes that hasn't done it.
