New Manager Search *BACK ON*

If anything we were cocky in thinking the fact we are a Premier League club would be enough.
It's not cocky, Wolves are a miles bigger club than QPR by every conceivable measure.

Like under the normal run of things Steve Bull would have left Wolves many times over in the early 1990s.

Bully was earning PL / Div1 money in the Championship though, so there wasn't the financial incentive

With Beale out of the picture, there's now a definite possibility Wolves stay with the coaching team they have until the break for World Cup. At this stage, little desire to turn back to candidates they had already decided against #wwfc
If that's the case, for the first time I'd think relegation is more likely than not. Would probably be 4 or 5 points adrift of safety and about 25 games of mostly getting beaten week in week out

Fair play to the club for opening up the managerial search criteria a bit wider

Maybe by then Lopetegui's dad issues will be resolved (though no doubt he'll quickly look for another relative to push down the stairs once he sees Jeff's name flash up on his phone)?

If this is true get ready for Luton, Rotherham and Millwall next season. Complete utter shambles of a situation to be left in. Davies is an upgrade on Lage but nowhere near what we need to survive.

Fair play to Jeff, despite us having a far superior squad, significantly more money, and still plenty of time left in the season to turn things around, he's managed to end up in the same place Steve Morgan did after sacking Mick to only leave us with Terry Connor. Considering the context it's arguably an even more embarrassing situation.

Time to roll out my new name for our Chairman - Jeff Moxshi

Right and with that I am off to join Walnut in the departure lounge...

4 games until the World Cup.
Leicester h draw
Brentford a lose
Brighton h draw
Arsenal h lose

Leaves us on 11 from 15 and probably needing 27 from from 23 to stay up.
7 of those remaining games will be against so called top 6 sides. Even a few bonus draws still leaves us needing a heck of a lot from the remaining games.
Whoever comes in will have to do what Eddie Howe did in the 2nd half of last season.
Shi, Lage and Sellars are probably taking us full circle and back to the same position we were in, in the summer of 2017.
Said it earlier on this thread we’re paying the price for a period of continuous shocking decisions.

On the plus side Fabio is gonna tear up the Championship...

I can't believe we've somehow failed to convince a novice Championship manager, regardless of his coaching reputation and potential, to move here. Its fucking unbelievable.

These pricks couldn't convince a Catholic to pray without Mendes' help. Fucking outrageous levels of ineptitude

This is where their GCSE level understanding of supply and demand falls down. Pissing people off with unreasonable price increases on the basis that "if you don't pay, someone else will" is fine until someone else doesn't exist. They don't exist if we finish 17th on 40 points and they definitely don't exist if you finish a place lower or worse.

By then you have annoyed your most loyal customers for no reason and can't attract any new ones, and you have to massively slash prices because the quality of the product has fallen off a cliff.

But then I'm not a genius who would employ career purchaser and bullshitter Vinny Clark to run ticketing, am I. What do I know.

In Percy's story about Beale turning us down, he says that Edwards might be appointed caretaker until after the WC. Bit weird that he would consider it, but then I guess it probably is a decent wedge for just four matches, as miserable as they're likely to be.
