How much for The Gloves?

Except he was a worse RB than Dom Iorfa and Conor Coady in the Championship, in his mid 20s. What have you seen since to suggest he's an acceptable Premier League option in 2023, when he's going to be 32 soon?
Fuck all. Like I said, Semedo is a very low bar.

Would you say Nelson Semedo is a worse RB than Conor Coady was in 2017?

Because I don't think Conor Coady would agree with you there if so.

No. But I think you're being overly critical of Doc again. He was player of the season one year, I voted for him...

Not because he was magnificent but because he was less shit than his teammates.

See, that was a sham of an award :D

He played about 3 games before Christmas (badly) and then we decided to sell our only LB and not replace him, so he went there. And he was appalling for two months to the point we had to sign Jeremy Hélan to play in front of him and hold his hand. Then he was sort of ok for two months in a very poor team.

I wanted to vote for Afobe as despite being a badge kissing bastard, he was still our top scorer by miles even though he left in January. But he wasn't on the list so I voted for Jack Price.

Absolutely no way was Matt Doherty our best player that season, you could maybe argue he was our best player of a very bad bunch for the last two months, but it isn't the first time the voting has got ridiculously skewed that way.

Price was the right call. Quietly was very important to us during the Jackett years, IMV.

But is he a worse right back than Mark Rankine, who Deutsch definitely voted for as PoTS back in the day?

PoTS means absolutely jack on a regular basis.

You seem like a happy go lucky kind of chap, you must like games? let's play a game...

The game is named you're the manager it's pretty self explanatory, you're the hypothetical manager of Wolverhampton Wanderers and you need to sign a fullback...

Matt Doherty is available on a free. Livramento will cost you £30m, Castagne will cost £40m...

Your budget is a bag of pork scratchings. Who do you sign?

None of them. Pick one of the thousand full backs better than that waster for the same or less. Do I win?

The same which is nothing or less which isn't possible. I'm afraid you don't win on this occasion, thank you for playing, I look forward to welcoming you back on another episode of pointless hypothetical nonsense at a later date.

I liked Price, the decision to sell when we did has proven correct though.

Well I won't sign Matt Doherty as he's a terrible full back and the other two aren't the only right backs in the entire world.

Good game.
Ok we'll change the parameters; the game is now named You are Matt Hobbs , you've been hypothetically challenged by a hypothetical Jeff Shi to sign.a new RB. Matt Doherty is available on a free, there is a long list of other RB's available for a fee, who do you sign?

...oh and your budget - a copy of Razzle - readers wives edition 1984 - it's got more hair in it than a barber's floor.

I’d have signed Ashley Young on a one year deal whilst assessing if Hoever or Lembikisa can cut it in January or need further time on loan or need moving on.

Hugo Mallo, Wilson Manafa, Ander Capa… all free, same age or younger than Doc

Fine then, Ola Aina.

Fine then, Ola Aina.
The same Ola Aina relegated with Fulham a few years back?

He's good on FIFA, I'll give you that, he's not pulled up too many trees though.

Thanks for playing, it's the wrong answer though. The answer we were looking for was... Luckyboy Mokoena... for obvious reasons.
