Man Utd FA Cup Thread

Well then Kabasele would be available for the weekend wouldn't he?

Sometimes in life there are shades of grey....He was pulled, but he also didn't need to go over, it was however the correct thing to do and all the top PL forwards would have done.

Therefore because he went down he got injured by his own action of going to ground given that it's a dead leg, but it was still a foul and a red card

Any news on whether the red card got overturned?

More chance of Mark winning ‘most agreeable person of the year’ award.

It may have been theatrical but he probably couldn't stay on his feet given he'd been knocked off balance.

I'd agree with almost all of that, bar the tiny bit in red.

Depends on the situation really whether the red card or potential goal would be more beneficial to the team at that time, difficult to say at the time but with plenty of hindsight it didn't really help Wolves to any great extent having that man advantage whereas if he'd gone through and scored momentum would very much have been with Wolves. Add to that the self inflicted injury, though it doesn't seem a particularly bad one, and Wolves are missing their player for as many games as the perpetrator of the foul then it all seems a rather pointless endeavor in the end.

Still, gave some people a reason to vent when they didn't like what I had to say on it.

Hindsight is 2020 and all that.

Foster is coming out and by the time Jota gets to the ball post tug he's maybe a yard from him. Very difficult to finish that, much more likely to hit it at the keepers legs

No BAS, Otasowie and Buur in the U23s tonight.

It wasn't just a pull on his arm though was it? The Watford player also kicked the back of his leg, which fetched him down, and deserved the red card for his assault on Jota. I am not surprised he has an injury as he was really travelling at the time.

Blaming Jota for injuring himself by his own actions is completely wrong, in my opinion.
Watching the replay of the incident on UTube confirms this.

Good god. Assault? Really? Watch it again on "Utube". It's the landing that gives the dead leg.

Getting in the mood for tonights game by watching a re-run of the FA Cup game from last season on the BBC red button
