Man Utd 1-0 Wolves: Verdict Thread

Well done lads. Well done Gary.

Need to put away the chances. We have to expect that we will be cheated out of points in this league buly corrupt refs and corrupt VAR - especially at Old Trafford.

The old
Goalkeeper has no positioning sense whatsoever

Can't score goals no matter how good the opportunities are

Nunes when driving is very impressive, when he passes a liability

VAR is incompetent/bent pick your choice

The new
Great pressing

Semedo looked like a 20 something million pound full back

We created more chances to miss than usual

Fabio looked sharp

My positives:

A few more of those and GON will have me won over. Shades of the McCarthy rescue season.

Semedo has turned into a proper defender, Fabio looked hungry, Gomes was really impressive and Neto looks back to his best.

My negatives:

RAN has no end product, can't defend, panics under pressure and was directly at fault for that goal. Apart from pace what exactly does he bring to the table?

I haven't felt as non plussed as I do with Sarabia since Rohan Ricketts.

Playing out from the back is shite.

How has the ref not even been told to have a look at it?

I’m just so used to these shit decisions now that I’m bored of discussing them.

We were fucking brilliant tonight - keep playing like that and we’ll be fine & the goals will come. Would like Fabio up there ahead of Cunha.

Definition of a missed opportunity. :(

Same old refs, what is the point of VAR in EPL, they don't use it like any other league.

Same old Wolves, never scoring. But the chances! *xG intesifies*. That was the form we saw from the Rennes friendly. Amazing what happens when it looks like the players are fit and have had a full pre-season.

Best game from Cunha? Did everything right all game except take his chances, but not alone there.

RAN weakest link in a defence that nearly got a clean sheet. Subbing in Bueno is obvious next game. As is starting Fabio. Probably has to be for Sarabia but will depend on shape. 442/4231. Not sure Nunes can really play as a winger but please don't bring on Hwang again.

No blame on Sa for you of course, all RAN 🤣 It would be so simple to improve on him FFS.

Makes me laugh Brentford got a decision overturned yesterday for minimum contact we get nothing for that you really just can’t fathom it.
PGMOL “wasn’t deemed a clear and obvious error”

Good performance, nothing less than I expected, we have some very good players.
Good formation too and loads of effort.
GON obviously has the backing of the players so far.
I'd like to see Neto back on the left.
Robbed by VAR at the end there.
Still need to sign an additional centre half.

This bollocks interpretation of using VAR this season ("ref on the field has the backing" yada yada) is a stupid interpretation and is going to get backflipped the first time a howler goes against a Sky 6 team.
