Erm, yeah. No expectations here. They're quite good and all that.

Would rather not play Dendoncker but not much choice unless we shuffle it around and put Kilman in, and I don't think that materially improves us either.

No news as far as I'm aware on Semedo's injury, obviously Hoever will play if he's not fit.

Fabio instead of Subbuteo José please. He might at least move now and then.

I suppose there's a possibility he makes more changes knowing that whatever we do, we're likely to lose and instead we'll focus on the Villa game, but I doubt it.

2020/21: L 1-3 (H)
2019/20: W 3-2 (H), W 2-0 (A)
2018/19: D 1-1 (H), L 0-3 (A)
2017/18: D 0-0 (A, LC, lost on pens)
2011/12: L 0-2 (H), L 1-3 (A), L 2-5 (H, LC)
2010/11: W 2-1 (H), L 3-4 (A)
2009/10: L 0-3 (H), L 0-1 (A)
2003/4: W 1-0 (H), D 3-3 (A)
2001/2: L 0-2 (H), L 0-1 (A)
1999/0: W 4-1 (H), W 1-0 (A)
1997/8: D 2-2 (H), W 1-0 (A)
1996/7: W 3-0 (H), W 1-0 (A)

I don't think we should be too defeatist, especially when we can't put the likes of Newcastle or WBA to the sword either ;)

Clearly we're likely to lose, and they're in imperious form, but we've won 2 out of 5 games since promotion, same as them, so there's always hope.

These hopeless bastards couldn't beat Albion at home either. In fact that's the last game they didn't win!

I could see us playing 352 and giving Neto/Traore/both a breather in a game where they would have to do a lot of defending. Hoever and Ait-Nouri could well be the wing-backs too.

We tend to go 3-5-2 against them. Strategy always is to force them wide and basically force crosses rather than playing through us. With the two upfront we can get a bit of success on the counter as they are normally left 2v 2 or 3 v 2.

Historically we’ve had success that way but we’ve been better at defending the box and better at countering!

Problem is that if Fabio and José are the front two, you aren't countering much (well, the latter doesn't do anything). You'd have to put Adama up front at the very least and I never like that.

Podence had a great second half against them in the home game, shame he isn't available.

I could see Neto playing with Fabio/Jose tbf.

Or he might do what he did at Chelsea with Vitinha/Gibbs-White behind Neto and Traore. In fact, that wouldn't surprise me at all.

Forget any Mumbo jumbo but this is an absolute free swing. Statistically the likelihood of MSN City winning reduces as the probability of a draw or defeat after 20 wins is higher. There are no fans in the stadium and we have zero to lose. Watch WJ score and us get at least a point!

It appears that Jose isn't mobile enough to occupy the City defence (whatever the reason) and that Silva is felt to be too lightweight for the full 90 mins. Given that on Saturday, Neto was definitely in "head down get a shot away" mode (apart from the cross for the goal). Having Neto and Adama as the two in a 5-3-2 wouldn't seem to be much different from what we saw against Newcastle. It would need Neves to continue with his Edwardsesque runs into the box in case either Neto or Adama crossed the ball.

The question would be who to chose as the extra midfielder, Vitinha, Gibbs-White or Otasawie?

Got to play Traore up front, he's usually shit there but he's City's bogeyman, bound to score or assist.

Christ please not a front 2 of Fabio & Jose. Don't mind losing, but I really don't want to be watching that.

Nuno is backing Jose. Which is a positive soundbite rather than another manager called José who would be throwing him under the bus.

Wolves must ‘recognise his movement better’.

How can you recognise nothing?

The question is how much more black could this be, and the answer is none. None more black.

We are 18/1 - 22/1 with all Bookies, just had €20 at 18/1 thats where I have my account, and also just Layed city off €21, to win €100 if City fail to Win.
1. They have to fail to win / Lose at some point 20 games is hell of a long run.
2. We actually have played well against them since we came up.

I am still expecting a Defeat but cannot resist a 2 horse race where one is 18/1, and effectively 5/1 not to win.

I saw this artcle and wondered if it was a Gee up to others and also a gee up to Willian.

Coady was his cheerleader last week so is obviously the company line. I don't think he's as bad as others do, has come deep to link up play and i think his physicality helps overall versus Fabio. Needs to do a lot more to justify being bought though

Neves also praised Jose for his movement helping him to score his header. One pack and all that.
(Feels weird typing about Ruben Neves scoring a header...)

He doesn't drop deep though, Neto and Adama had to do all that for him on Saturday (after 45 minutes of realising the lummox was just standing around 30 yards away).

Can't hold the ball up, can't link play, can't win the ball in the air, doesn't move. These are not good "focal point" characteristics.
