Bit of a let off, Patricio palms a fizzed cross back into the area but Aguero can't get it out of his feet and the effort is weak allowing Patricio to collect.

Good break between Costa and Jimenez, former getting beyond Mendy but seemed an odd choice to try and pick out Neves on the edge of the box who's shot was easily closed down.

Slightly disappointed there, stray pass from Kompany on the edge of his box gifts Wolves possession but few players shuffle it round with little intent and Neves' poor touch loses the ball. None of them really seemed to know what they wanted to do with that to try and force the issue.

Despite a few bad decisions in possession that was a good half for us. City are fantastic but we have, at times, broken away quite well.

Aside from the ten minute spell where they looked like they would get away from us we have done really well tbh.

Only issue is when we do well in their half of the pitch they respond by slicing us open. We’ve played a higher line than I thought we would. Jota and Costa look like real threats on the break for us, to the point that they had to adapt to that.

Doherty has struggled and Bennett has had to get himself out of jail a couple of times with good recoveries. Boly been superb, as has Jonny

This is true. Jota did it once and then everybody else seemed to think it was a good idea!

What a great game to watch. Impressed by Jimenez and top, top save from Rui. Think we're doing bloody well so far

Very pleased so far. All three CBs have been pretty good, Boly has been immense and made two goal-saving tackles to stop Aguero. Sterling done a few runs on Bennett but he has mostly dealt with it well, our right side is clearly weaker and Doherty has been mugged off a couple of times. Costa has been very good as has Jiminez and I am impressed by Jonny today. Neves played great first 20 but has faded a bit. Brilliant save by Patricio v Sterling.

Oh and with the mix up between Doherty and Bennett I thought the former was fault, gets in his way and then kicks at nothing.

Decent game we have done very well IMO Costa and Jota breaking well and Jimenez has been superb.

We will tire hope we can make this respectable will do wonders for confidence.

We’ve done well but I still expect City to pull away in the second half, just to much quality to contend with.

Complete guess but I think we are aiming for him to play in the cup as he was short of fitness and gives him time to adjust to nuno’s way.

Guess he just isn’t physically ready and Nuno won’t want to just chuck him in.

Big 45. We’ll have to be even better if we want anything as can’t imagine Pep will have been happy with his players..
