We scored an offside handball so I guess it's karma.City resorting to diving and set pieces to get back into the game....

I think Nuno has to shoulder that as much as anyone, Boly gets beaten but the way they're set up gives Laporte a free run at it.Doherty? That was on Boly, IMO.
Probably, but even in zonal marking you expect someone to at least call out likely runners, and surely Laporte as a CB counts as that, but looked like no one even noticed him.I think Nuno has to shoulder that as much as anyone, Boly gets beaten but the way they're set up gives Laporte a free run at it.
Noticing him doesn't really change anything, you've got to abandon the zonal part if you want to pick him up and match the run.Probably, but even in zonal marking you expect someone to at least call out likely runners, and surely Laporte as a CB counts as that, but looked like no one even noticed him.
If you note runners moving into your zone it helps.Noticing him doesn't really change anything, you've got to abandon the zonal part if you want to pick him up and match the run.
Even if you see them coming they've still got the run on you, if you're standing up the ball with them running in to attack it your only real option to stop them is just step across and block the run but then you risk giving away a penalty. If you note runners moving into your zone it helps.
Good reaction save to keep things level.
Well the idea is you've sussed the run and therefore the flight of the ball, you can attack your zone more easily without risking the foul.Even if you see them coming they've still got the run on you, if you're standing up the ball with them running in to attack it your only real option to stop them is just step across and block the run but then you risk giving away a penalty.
$#@! me if sterling was fouled then traore was too
Depends where the ball falls doesn't it? If it gets stuck right on top of you as a defender marking a zone then you're fucked, you won't have opportunity to attack it as you're already in position for where the ball is headed. You'd have to move out of position to give yourself space to then get back in and attack it, there isn't time for that.Well the idea is you've sussed the run and therefore the flight of the ball, you can attack your zone more easily without risking the foul.
If the ball in is that good then the style of marking means fuck all, to be fair.Depends where the ball falls doesn't it? Set pieces need work but in open play he is immaculate.Moutinho has been fantastic again today.
