Such a shame that Raúl's idiocy and Jon Moss'/Var's incompetence has overshadowed some great displays from Kilman and RAN.

The bets view for the penalty incident was from behind the goal where you could clearly see the ball hit Moutinho in the side just below his armpit which makes any interpretation of the handball rule completely irrelevant as it did not hit his arm at all. The worst thing about it is that view was watched by Aston Marriner in his VAR review. Which means he's either incompetent or bent. Or both.

Moss on field decision is based on calculated guess work. He sees the arm up and assumes it must have hit the arm.
Unfortunately that completely changes the dynamic of the VAR call.
I keep banging the drum but the current set up is flawed, hypocritical and manufactured.
Put it this way the PGMOL are satisfied if the handball we didn’t get v Albion in Jan isn’t given but the one today is so long as they can say there was no clear and obvious error.
They also state they minimum interference but are happy to get the lines out to prove very marginal offsides.
The rule with today should be for Mariner “do you believe in your professional opinion that, that is a penalty” if no advise the on field official to look.

The replay that Marriner watches the most times, is the one where it looks the most like it hit his arm, then the 3 following replays where it shows that it definitely didn't (especially the last one) he watches once.
