Man City 1-0 Wolves: Verdict Thread

If it was anyone’s fault it was that fat cunt with the whistle. Same names keep cropping up but him, Dean, Atwell should be nowhere near what is supposedly the best league in the world.

I've watched Raul's red back a few times, it just makes no sense.

It's like he's trying to waste time and deliberately get a yellow.

It's raul and Raul only on this one

He doesn't move for a ball unless it's passed straight to him. He's not going to have the awareness to see that. It's not in him
The amount of play that goes past him without any movement from him at all is the frustrating part. Sterling must have run an extra 5k today than him today. But I don’t think Pep would entertain a swap deal in January.

It's a well trodden path, it's not worth going over again. Broadly you see Adama for what he does do, or what he doesn't. Depending what side of the fence you are then you can find plenty of evidence either way in most games. Even today if you want to make a defence, he drew 2 yellow cards, which without Raul may have made a difference later in the game

Having now scraped myself off the ceiling, I’m more than ever convinced VAR is ruining the Prem and it’s bias towards the big 6.
It appears in other games today VAR favoured these teams with various decisions with the exception of Arsenal and they won because S’ton were just shyte apparently.
The ironic thing is that the results have not hurt us in terms of league position at the moment, however we’re now seeing about 12 teams spilt by only 5 points.
Spirited performance today, but we’ve got to start creating more up top otherwise we will drop into the bottom half very quickly. We’re not in danger but I’d rather we play more expansive than playing not to lose
Kilman MOTM….again

It’s horses for courses with this squad. Playing expansive football with the current players against any of the big six will probably get us beaten 10 times in 12. That’s why we changed things after 3 defeats. We don’t have the personnel or the depth to play expansive football or in Bruno’s preferred formation. Until that’s fixed we are on a hiding to very little

I absolutely agree with you Jasper. I just hope in the January window we’re able to get the personnel to allow us to do this…..he says with bated breath!

You usually are.
Johnny and Beaver, sittin' in a tree...

Oh dear, having one the parties be named "Beaver" makes the rhyme quite a bit more erotic.

He had very little to work with to be honest. He was still brought down 4 times in fairly quick succession!

On the whole thought we did exceptionally well. First half contained them comfortably. Felt the first booking for Raul was wrong but the 2nd is correct. Stupid from him and I hope lage has told him so.

Penalty. Meh.I’m still unsure if it’s hit his arm. Il have to check once the lager has worn off. But from what I saw it’s not clear cut. Arm up but hit his back? Maybe not enough to over rule the on pitch decision. If moss doesn’t give it then it’s not a pen

I guess we can take credit out of the last 2 games? But it’s not really something we don’t already know. We can stifle teams, good defensively but can’t score goals

Whether the ball hits the arm or not is not subjective, it is binary.

The ball DID NOT hit his arm, there are 2 different angles that prove that, it's not about clear and obvious error, it's about something not happening that the ref thought did.

If it hit his arm it was on the rebound, which isn't a penalty. It's just bollocks. That said if the ball is 6 inches higher it would have been and that's coincidence rather than design. He really shouldn't have had his arm there

Irrelevant though isn't it.

And it didn't hit his arm on the rebound anyway, it hits his back/ribs and bounces away.
