Fabio scored the winning penalty in the cup final against Ajax

...as a second half of extra time substitute, their 5th, behind legends like Anwar El-Ghazi

I saw El-Ghazi play for a Villa XI vs Leamington in pre season this year. He was the worst player on the pitch.

Are they still shunting him out on the wing?

Not really hence his game time being reduced. De Jong is scoring regularly and is captain so no way he’s getting dropped. Think Ruud wanted to go 2 up top at times but it doesn’t really suit the rest of the team so hasn’t done so.

Update from the weekend:

Luke Cundle - Swansea (Championship)

Kept his good run going and got his second goal of the season to equalise at Hull. Played the full game.

Joe Young - Telford (National League North)

Rounded off Telford’s season in suitable fashion with a 4-1 defeat at Boston. The Bucks are relegated 18 points off safety.

Jordao - Santa Clara (Portuguese Primeira Liga)

After celebrated his sixth straight appearance with a goal last week, he played yet another full game. This time in a 3-0 defeat at Estoril. That’s them as good as down as well.

Hayao Kawabe and Bendeguz Bolla´- Grasshoppers Zurich (Swiss Super League)

Bolla played the first half and Kawabe 84 minutes ins a 5-1 defeat at Lugano. Kawabe got the assist for the goal

Yerson Mosquera - FC Cincinnati (MLS)

Got his first goal, a header off a corner, in a 1-1 draw at New England Revolution

Goal around the 2-min mark:

On as sub: Fabio Silva played the last 15 minutes or so in the Dutch cup final before the pen. Hoever came on for the last half hour of Stoke’s 1-0 loss at home to QPR. Smith came on for Walsall for the second half at Crawley after an injury to their first choice and helped them to a clean sheet. Guedes came on for the last half an hour in Benfica's 2-0 win, while Campbell and Corbeanu both made late cameos.

Unused subs: Lonwijk

Not in squad: Giles, Sanderson, Perry

State of those socks though...
