Liverpool vs Wolves Build-up Thread

Outrageously fortunate is doing a real disservice to the methods of our coaching team and our fitness coaches.

They can also get clattered I think he meant!

Rob Gutmann is the moron.

Responded to him to with no reply, find it so bizarre on how nieve some fans are. Basically what Liverpool fans wanted us to do was just sit quietly and tow their party line and not wind them up when it doesn’t go there way. Seriously how long have they been involved in football. Very typical of the Liverpool fan base love to to take a moral high ground.

Seen loads already saying we won't be as lucky or do as well next year, and one even saying he'd fancy us to go down. Not just LFC fans but prem in general.

It always amuses me that Liverpool fans seek to take the moral high ground.

I like Klopp and think his team play some magnificent football but the fans are fucking arseholes.

Seems like some Liverpool fans on Twitter have decided they can’t take the angst out on city so they’ve targeted us.
See it more of compliment than insult that they’ve gone to so much effort to be so angry about us.

What are they mad at us for? We're not the ones who lost 4-1 to City to give them the title. Or were we supposed to both lose to them AND beat City at the same time?

Basically creating fake BHA goals, singing pro Raheem Sterling songs basically just taking the piss that they didn’t win the league. Absolutely nothing untoward which they’ve taken exception to. Pointed out to a lot of them on Twitter the abuse and piss taking we received on our way to league 1.
My advice to them is if you can’t hack opposition fans taking the piss stay at home and watch it on tv.

I think it's spectacularly small time and not particularly amusing, pretty sure our fans flapped into a rage when Arsenal started singing about Wembley a few weeks ago. Not like them to have double standards or anything. Support your own fucking team.

But each to their own.

Any fanbase would have took the piss out of Liverpool yesterday. 99.9 percent of the season we have been right behind the lads. Forgive us for having a few laughs yesterday.

I find our whole fanbase's attitude to Liverpool in general very bizarre and pretty small time.

It's like everybody hating Leeds. Again its not just our fanbase its across the board as Liverpool fans give the nation so much amusement. Quit the fucking Wolves bashing.

Not bothered about Leeds either tbh.

It might just be an age thing, i don't like Utd because they are full of glory supporters from when I was growing up; Liverpool and Leeds were pretty much an irrelevance in the 90s.

Most Liverpool supporters tend to be the genuine article and their food bank drive is very classy, I'll take that over southerners supporting Utd any day.

I see it from both sides. The Sterling stuff & creating the Brighton goals was top banter. It's what you should expect in a football ground on a day like yesterday, given the circumstances. I have read and seen a few posts on social media, that show the Liverpool fans were all for the banter until it became clear they would not be winning the league - then they started spitting and throwing things on to the Wolves fans - which is a bit shit. That said, I've also seen our own fan base react ridiculously to other fans taking the piss out of us. So it works both ways.

There is a certain section of our fan base on twitter, who class themselves as "super fans", and they regularly embarrass themselves on a weekly basis by falling over themselves to take the piss out of fans from other clubs, but they're the first to get defensive whenever someone gives it back. I find them very small time & I've had to unfollow a few of them.

I think you may well have a different view to most about Liverpool FC.

I'll take plastic Man Utd fans over a set of fans singing about a fatal plane crash, pushing people into fountains and acting the victim at every opportunity. That's before you consider Heysel.

Yeah, I agree. No problem with a bit of piss taking during the game, but I find it a bit tiresome to hear it continue online for days afterwards. And this happens every fucking week.

I've taken the piss out of Liverpool fans plenty of times so I'm far from perfect, but TBH right now I'd rather concentrate on what their club has done on them pitch compared to what a small section of their fans do off it. They've been brilliant this season.

There's stuff like that you could say about most teams though, for example I could very much understand Watford fans hating us.

Personally I would just like to see people supporting their local teams.

Edit - my Dad said the plane song used to be sung at wolves in the 60s and 70s too

It would be wrong then but to still sing it over 50 years on is classless and wrong. And then you get to the only British team in European competition that has killed people on a scale that Liverpool fans did.

People supporting their local team isn't likely, it has more to do with family and tradition. My kids are Wolves fans and will never be Stoke/ Vale fans.

Yeah, local together with family history is what I meant. Rather than just picking at team because they are good - there are 12 boys in my kids class at school, all bar my 2 support city, Utd or Liverpool :(
