Also denied a goal scoring opportunity like the one today, so why didn't he get the red card?

If you slide in and make a reasonable attempt to play it, whether it's a goalscoring opportunity or not is irrelevant now. You won't get a straight red.

The argument is whether Wharton did or knew that he was 100% going to foul Mané. I think the latter, the officials disagreed.
