You cant go watch a team financed by TV and broadcasting money and then demand you have the same experience as someone at home, despite getting the best experience which is being there.

So because there are more people maybe watching the game at home fuck those who are actually watching it in the ground. That's some crazy logic.

I fully agree with you from a moral pov. Unfortunately the sport (as with most others) is not run on morals. Quite the opposite.
The soul has long been sold.

The most frustrating thing to me is, it doesnt need to be like this. All they needed to do was apply the system as first mooted i.e. clear and obvious error. If it takes more than 30 seconds to decide, then it isnt clear and obvious, just carry on with the game.
We're so far down the rabbit hole on its implementation that it aint changing now...just fucknit off.

You said the experience of those at home should be better as they collectively pay more. If you didn't feel free to explain what you actually meant.

That is not what I have said no.

I said 'being there' was the best experience, I never said F the fans or that TV fans pay more or anything close to that.

However you can't have fans in the ground with a static view and no access to angles or replays etc having the same amount of knowledge as someone watching a multiple camera broadcast. That's not a VAR thing, thats basically since they started televising football in a semi decent way in the 70s.

Pre VAR were you never at a game and message someone you were watching a question?

"Was he onside? "Was that a red?" Sort of thing?

More reffing incompetence! It's two yards inside the penalty area.

And of course from a player who shouldn't be on the pitch either.

Newcastle equalise anyway.

What this game is highlighting is how much the officials rely on VAR to make decisions because they are simply not up to the job of getting them correct on the pitch themselves. Get rid of PGMOL and train referees properly or get new ones, even if it means getting officials from abroad.

That doesn't have a material effect on the game. VAR does.

I think with offsides there should be a wider margin of error. Basically wider lines. Linesman's (umpires) call or similar. This nonsense of of drawing and redrawing lines to see if someone's elbow is in front of someone's foot is ridiculous

They need to make them split their time more I feel between the Prem and the Champ as they have created this disparity. This game has been poor but the Hull v Chelsea one was really well ref'd I felt. And the West Ham one today also seemed fine (didnt have the sound on for that I will add)
