Rancid villa team. Don't blame Emery but there's a Spurs to relegate here.
Not as bad as I feared having read your post. Their centre halves are all a bit meh with the exception of Konsa. Watkins is very miss and hit and a Villa season ticket holder I know said he’d play Barkley every time if fit.

Bournemouth, Brentford and Brighton are all bang average and competing for the top 6. This is one of the poorest PL seasons in years and we’re bottom of it. Great stuff.

All are the polar opposite of us; seemingly very well-run with an infrastructure that allows some continuity of quality regardless of managers coming and going.

They lose good managers and players and more often than not replace them like-for-like, or even with better! Fucking cunts! 😅

It's so sad to see how all these clubs have prospered and developed since coming up where we, after some initial 'success', have been run into the ground by terrible owners and are going down in disgrace

Slight simplification...and I'm not saying the clubs mentioned are all angels...but it's the difference between doing it in a fairly genuine way with actual footballing goals and knowledge, and the shady way we've done it, where it's all been about Jeff's ego and Mendes' pockets. And even when those two elements aren't in play for whatever reason, the structure is so shit that those left making all the calls are woefully inadequate

With gate receipts being a relatively small percentage of overall turnover, if they can establish themselves there's not much difference between a small club like those mentioned and a medium one with 30-35k attendances like Wolves, Forest and Leeds.

If you can get to your 4th season then it's only really mismanagement that'll relegate you irrespective of size. Have a competent structure in place and you'll finish midtable at worse year in year out.

You’ve only got to look at Bournemouth last summer. Kerkez was always going but he didn’t actually go until Truffert was through the door.
We let RAN go and then spent the summer scrambling around for a replacement, finally get one over the line but to use a returning loanee for the majority of the season.
