England have been terrible, Nigeria very good tbf.
Player sent off for a horrible 'challenge' really petulant. Nigeria denied a cast iron penalty.

Really hope the media level the same scrutiny at The women’s team here as they would the men. Had England played like this v Senegal and gone out they’d be castigated. Have a feeling there will be criticism but nowhere near the equal amount.

The only decision the officials got wrong was not giving Nigeria a penalty

The penalties from Daly, Kelly and Greenwood were fantastic.

Stanway shouldn't be the sides penalty taker after her 3 efforts in this tournament.

Surely the real 'hope' should be that the men get a bit more support in the media, rather than the women getting slaughtered too?

Tournament football is tough, it's a rare a team is good enough to just get it their own way for 7 games. There'll always be moments of luck, poor performances etc.

Dodged a bullet, but once it got to penalties I felt like England would have the experience to handle the pressure.

Getting through all that matters, but that was a slog. This England side have a very good habit of finding a way.

Very noble thought but you know that’s unrealistic, the moment the men side go out early it’s a pile on and always will be.

Pundits seem to think James will have her 1 game ban bumped up to 3 due to the violent conduct reason.

Last 2 games she has been a stand out, named as a potential player of the tournament etc. That is some way to come crashing back down to earth.
She will get all manner of "what was she thinking" etc but anyone who has played a game will know, at times you park your common sense and do or react stupidly to moments. She is probably still sat their thinking the same as everyone else now and has no clue why she did that.

Beckham and Rooney being sent off were followed by defeats in the same game. The result in this one will mean it will be downplayed.
