Jarrod Gillett acting the bellend giving a player a second yellow for walking towards him in the Sunderland game.

Tbf, Neil mightve actually called him a cunt but I have an agenda.
Apparently he got the 2nd yellow for saying ‘that’s a fucking foul!’ Completely swung the game in Boro’s favour too.

Given his temperament on the PR videos, he seems to me to be the sort who won't give full effort for a manager he doesn't respect (which I don't mean as a dig, necessarily, especially when that guy was Lage). Just seems like a dude who won't at all put up with someone who he thinks is wasting his time. Sometimes it's not even a conscious thing; you don't really recognize that you're sandbagging until someone gives you a smack.

Just speculation, of course. Agree that it seemed a prudent move at the time.

"I want to be alone"

I still chuckle now.

I didn't think Boly was done, Lage treated him appallingly as he's a cunt.

Wasn't he injured then couldn't get back into the team? I never had the feeling he was done either.

I don't think he was done, but his availability was getting worse year on year from what I remember, and it doesn't matter how good you are if you're on the sidelines more than on the pitch

Didn’t Boly get covid pretty bad, and could barely jog as a result?

Was ages ago that.

When he played in the second half of 2021/22 (after Lage totally ignored him for months) he was still good.

He didn’t look “all there” to me when he played under Lage.

Hindsight’s 20/20; we could clearly still use him at this level. A shame for us, but I’m glad for him.

It's just batshit to me. People will defend the ref for this one because "it's too early, you don't want to ruin the match".

Fuck that, if someone has committed two yellow card offenses, they have ruined the match, not the fucking ref for applying the laws correctly.

You get this same shit in other sports; "it's the final two minutes, ref, let the boys play", that type of shit. It has always, always done my head in.

Amen. Refs aren't there to make the game entertaining. They they're to apply the laws of the game. Blame the player for committing the offence, not the ref for calling it.

Rodri's value is skyrocketing.

Bright sparks Maddison & Grealish short corner when the clock is up.

He’s always good for a yellow card bet.
If you’re a club side who’s ambition is survival or mid table then he’ll do a job as in playing in a top side and international level absolutely nowhere near that level.
