I went there in the late 90s/00s (I think) we had a slight chance of making the Playoffs, last game of the season, I can't remember the score (Dan? Help?)

I can remember Paul Simpson getting called "shit" by a Wolves fan whilst he was standing on the post defending a corner, he turned to us and sarcastically put his thumb up.

I also remember much more clearly the police forcing us to walk the train station with their escort even though we literally walked past our car on the way to the station, we told the police this, they didn't care just kept us kettled in. We got to the station and the police fucked off and we had to walk BACK to the car without an escort, at which point my mate had a piece of wood thrown at him and it cut his head open.

Mine would have been the 0-0 in the year we won Div 3 and an FA Cup game I'm guessing a couple of years after. The coaches then were kept at the back of the away end, the police showed little interest in stopping Vale fans from doing whatever they wanted

I went in 99/00 too. Gave us the end behind the opposite goal too thinking they'd flog a few extra tickets with us chasing the play offs but the Bolton result dampened expectations and only a few hundred ended up in there.
