Nice bet. Liverpool €12.00 @ 15/4 halfway through second half.
Dropping Elliot into midfield second half and putting Gakpo down the middle made a big difference.
Cashed out just after they scored though.

Wasn’t undeserved at all. If we did that under Nuno it was a great gameplan
I agree about being not undeserved but don't think you can attribute Liverpools clean sheet during the first half to some defensive masterclass, Arsenal were just as bad as you can get in front of goal.
I've no dog in the fight but Arteta just about shades it in the being an unlikeable prick over Klopp. Fun game.

That first goal doesn't look any better for Ramsdale on replays

Kieran Gibbs having a whale of a time trying to paint that result positively for Arsenal.

I think us under Nuno would’ve gone in as a much bigger under dog status than this liverpoool side.
That’s irrelevant to my wider point.

Everyone is making out Alisson made a lot of worldy saves. Arsenal just kept on messing up presentable opportunities, Havertz allergic to shooting. Don’t play Kai Havertz and then wonder why you don’t score. Liverpool had just as many opportunities to create second half, several times one pass left a tap in but they couldn’t execute, but you felt it was likely to happen with their forward players on the counter and TAA finding them on repeat.

So why the Nuno comparison? The fault of the loss fully lies on Arsenal shoulders as the game should’ve been buried before Liverpool did most of their attacking play second half. Pretty sure the Liverpool master plan wasn’t to concede as much territory and chances first half.

Because we consistently handed the initiative to opponents, largely limited them to low quality chances/relied on our keeper/rode our luck then stuffed teams on the counter ruthlessly, or In Liverpools case today, they weren’t particularly ruthless.

Thought that would have been quite self explanatory tbh.

Arsenal’s chances weren’t low quality though especially first half some glaring opportunities with bells on at times. As said there’s absolutely no way Liverpool would’ve been happy with giving up those chances first half. They got away with it and took full advantage of it, I said in game it had a Liverpool 0-1 written all over it and I think I said it first half.

Couldn’t agree more, Arteta is a thoroughly unlikeable person. I’m sure a lot of neutrals warm to City at the moment as Pep, though he has his moments, appears to be quite a decent chap.

We can discuss something totally seperate to my initiral point in a minute.

My point was Liverpools win wasn’t undeserved. They were second best first half, much better second and well worthy of the win, should have scored more than 2.

As for the seperate bit to my inital point. I don’t think Arsenal had that many gilt edge chances. They would have been if Havertz had actually shot. Don’t remember Alisson making a save of note. Few misses from set pieces. Rest were mainly blocked (good defending ergo worthy of win!?). That bit is all subjective anyway

Any Sky 6 manager is a prick once they've been there a few seasons. They all whine, they all get a sympathetic ear and they all get too much air time. Pep, like Ferguson and early to mid Wenger delivers though. Arteta has yet to do that

Disagree hitting the bar, headed wide from 5 yards out, Allison did have saves to make just that Havertz took one to many touches, Saka twice missed the target when usually he does a lot better from that range.

Disagree hitting the bar,
No better a chance than Trent’s.

Havertz

Because he’s shit??? Adama missing chances doesnt mean the opposition got lucky. Him scoring is getting lucky.

So did Nunez.

That’s poor play for most of those. Liverpool did it better.

Both of Saka's 'chances' were on his right foot. Also 'Pool did well to keep showing him down the line and not letting him cut inside onto his left. It greatly reduced his effectiveness.
Martinelli looked Arsenal's biggest threat. Too little too late though.

A team mate of Micro from his under 8s side at Old Wulfs came on as a sub for the shit today.

Massive chance there for Wigan, need to be putting those away (wasn't an easy chance) if they're going to win this.

Players that turn there backs in that instance should be docked wages. Stand up to it and its 0-0 still.
