The contentious part Andy is that's not even being looked at if they hadn't spent the 2 minutes previous trying to work out whether Watkins had flicked the ball on and at what point it had hit Ings' arm. If the ball had dropped to Ings in an obvious onside position and he'd tapped it in they wouldn't have looked at it
Doesn't mean it wasn't an infringement though, villa shouldn't get a free pass because none of the officials noticed something.
It feels like the argument is that because the officials didn't notice something until they were half way through the process then it shouldn't get called. An infringement is an infringement, regardless of when it gets spotted.
If we get to a point where officials start ignoring clear infringements visible in VAR play backs we'll be in an even worse position.
