According to UEFA, Felipe's red card was given due to the challenge and not dissent.

I’m sure the referee was due to give him a yellow. It was never a red card challenge, even if Peter Walton said it was.

It's not accurate enough to conclusively say that is actually where the lines should be drawn when contact with the ball is made. Margin of error is ~30cm.

There have been far more marginal instances of offside than this, certainly more worthy of calling a "disgrace".
