Live Match Discussion 2022/23

Jim White and Simon Jordan discussing it to be fair and calling for retrospective action. Keown is predictably defending the player and doesn't think it was even a bookable offence

Keown is a fool, and not even a particularly interesting one to listen to. You can't put your hands on an official. That should be automatic red card.

Indeed, they don't call him Mr Player Welfare for nothing. Dull as dishwater

Utter fucking prick, one of the many United players who look like they need filling in

I didn't see the game but according to the 5live radio commentary, Fabinho could have been booked a couple of times before he was finally yellow carded. After the incident with him at Brighton and ours in midweek, does he have some of hold against all Premier League refs and those at Stockley Park?

I wouldn't be trusting Man Utd radio for any opinion.

The ref was letting a lot slide yesterday for both teams. 2nd half there was a spell where 2 or 3 could have been sent off

Just the unthinking bias they have towards big clubs really.

Rodri is the absolute worst for it.

I said that during the game. Especially since I had a Shaw / Fernandes yellow card double.

But he does look incredibly like a pike, its amazing. Definitely the human who most looks like a fish, and I'm including Bruno Lage in that.

Lee Dixon was on comms here and his was reaction was “I wouldn’t be able to show my face at home if I went over like that” (referring to Fernandes, obv).

Too bad the refs seem to be the only ones who can’t see how pathetic it is. Whatever happened to yellow cards for diving?

Replaced with yellow cards for being the 3rd person to look sideways at the ref (worse than pushing a lino apparently) though this ridiculous rule seems to have been forgotten too now

It's where they need to take the shackles off VAR - why we have this Calvinist thing where we deny ourselves the opportunity to review anything that's a yellow card for no reason, I can't explain.

We're told they watch absolutely everything in real time, not just the big calls - that's a clear instance of simulation and a definite yellow card offence, get in the ref's ear and tell him, then he can book Ratboy next time the ball goes out of play. If it happens to be his second booking, so be it, off you go you cheating prick.

Drives me mad. They can stop the game for 2 or 3 minutes to draw a line for offside, but can't get a grip on simple things like time wasting or foul throws.

Don’t take your shirt off, though. That’s too far.

If it was on me we’d play shirts/skins. Away side topless.

Also Semedo is there.

Solomon is the kind of player I wish Podence was.

Good game, this.
