Only the very best teams can carry a player for 90% of games to make use of the other 10%, those teams can generally get more reliable players anyway so the 10%ers end up at lesser clubs chasing the fallacy of unlocking their potential.
Dave Edwards was not carried 90% of the time. Limited player by all means but not that limited!

Dele Alli played a big role in a Spurs team that challenged for the league before coming up short late on. Whether he can ever find that form again remains to be seen but he certainly was not a 10%er.

Thomas Müller hasn't done too bad.

Playing for the undisputed best side in the league for his entire career and a nation which has been in contention for winning almost every trophy he's entered with them.

There's a place for those players, but it's generally a luxurious one, even if Wolves had signed Alli at his peak how would they have gone about building a side around him as their best player? Ditto for Muller at a mid table side, how's he going to drag the rest of the team along with him?

Nah. Been absolutely shite for about five years now.

He got 18 league goals in 16/17! I spotted that the other day when talking about goal scorers. That's a pretty remarkable drop off from that year to now struggling to get in a poor Everton side. He is only 26 next week too if what I read was right.

I’m not sure if it’s just attitude with Alli, I know Spurs fans say his injuries kind of ruined him a bit too. He’d do a job as a second striker in a 4-4-2 where he can get himself in the box and use his movement. No one really plays like that though these days.

Ndombele will score against West Ham this week or next, because that's just how football works

Very subdued start by West Ham. Thought they would be right out of the traps, but anything but.

Cresswell you helmet. Ridiculous to get a red there. Commentators talking bobbins about it not being a red for me.

Stupid from Cresswell to make contact but it's an appalling decision. Barely any contact certainly not enough for him to go down and going away from goal too.

It's a red all day long. Yes the contact is minimal, but it's completely unnecessary and it has put the attacker off.

Wow big goal for West Ham. They’d been stuck in their own half before that for a while

Nah, Tony got his prediction right...
