Retention of possession is awful, Norwood now 4 times in the middle with a simple ball has given it away.

The Eze goal was embarrassing, just let him stroll forward from inside his own half, only two wank challenges as any obstruction and then pretty much rolled it in from the edge of the box. Was like a goal you'd expect a grown man to score against a team of primary school kids.

Chelsea could be on the end of a tonking here, already 2 down ( should be 3, KdB missed a sitter) City playing well and Chelsea all over the place at the back

Not even sure what Chelsea are aiming for here, City got so much freedom to play it's almost like they're actively staying as far away from them as possible.

I do like what Lampard has been able to get out of Chelsea going forwards when they click, not a lot of that today obviously, but they've always been awful defensively under him. Think it was a similar story at Derby too?

Seems bonkers the money they spent in the summer but other than Chilwell the only other attempt at improving the defence was a bloke who's about ready for retirement and never played in such a hectic league. Not even like they're any better off going forwards as all their summer recruits at that end have flopped or been injured, Werner looks proper erratic and Havertz looks like he'd be bullied by Fabio Silva.

Just posted in the athletic

“Frank Lampard’s job as manager is under serious threat, The Athletic understands.

A humbling fourth defeat in seven matches against a Manchester City side will only intensify the questions about the team’s broader direction under the current management team, and sources have told The Athletic that Chelsea have begun to explore alternative plans with a view to replacing Lampard if the current slump continues, if not sooner.”

Liverpool looked pretty short on ideas this evening on how to break Southampton down

A few weeks ago I thought Liverpool were going to walk it again. At least this has kept it interesting, especially as City seem to have worked out how to defend counter attacks again

Great result for Southampton, especially without McCarthy, Vestergaard, Adams and Romeu

Oh how i laughed. Man Utd fans now Ole out. How did fans become so fickle?

Its nuts, they could go top of the Premier league soon

TBF, that's the point. As a Man U fan you probably expect more than 'could'. Today's the fourth competition semi final Ole has lost for them. As Man U manager you have to be making that push to the final, let alone actually winning something.

It's the Mourinho argument. He plays attritional football these days which fans don't enjoy, he loses the players after a couple of seasons, but he wins trophies. He'll get one at Spurs this year for the first time in 13 years. He won 2 at United whilst being loathed in the same length of time that Ole has been there

It's not pleasant, but it's the view of a lot of the fans of elite clubs, I imagine

Villa kids vs 90% of the Liverpool 1st team. This could be a long night for those kids
