Live Match Discussion: 2020/21

Yep could argue those actors performing in the theatre are just as entitled etc football has been a big escape but it’s no more worthy than other entertainment businesses. Its a shity situation that’s just going to need patience.
Reality is my passion for sport is about 30% down at the moment just got so much other crap going on due to this situation.

Theatre is solely dependent on a live audience though.
Football is not just those who watch a game, there is a reason it is on the back pages of every single newspaper.
The Eastenders argument seems valid, but a tv soap is more readily replaced than professional sport (unless you consider them alternatives to each other).

Some theatres had starting shows via zoom etc so it has been done.

The turgid 2nd games in Xmas week comes again 8 games played 1-1, 1-1, 0-1, 1-0, 0-0, 0-5, 1-0, 0-0. Averages out at 1.5 goals per game. If Albion knew how use a football properly it would be even lower. To be fair the first round of games only averaged at 2.3 but still better games.

I have no idea why we still have the game between Boxing Day and New Years. It’s madness. Not only are some teams (ie us) badly disadvantaged when they schedule it like they do, but the standard is awful and it puts players at higher risk of injury.

The games have been awful, Leeds played well yesterday but it was a non contest and the second half was a training session.
If they want the second game in midweek everyone realistically needs to play on Boxing Day and not again until at least 29/12 probably the 30/12.

The issue is the desire to spread games across the period for tv, not the amount of games themselves. Teams could have played Saturday, Tues/Wed Saturday which wouldn't have been a problem

Villa equalise so the penalty order has come down from Stockley Park.

Villa unlucky tonight if you ask me Man Utd won’t last the pace of a title race.

Thought Villa were the better team...horrendous defending for Utd's first though. Don't mind the penalty being given, there was a small amount of contact which tend to be given now. Although not much different to the one's not given to Neto or Silva recently......and don't get me started on the one where Traore got a yellow for diving.

Villa have improved vastly id be very surprised if they don’t come in the top 10 this season.

Burnley v Fulham gone tomorrow, both are going to have to try and play 23 games in 18 available weeks. Also still got FA cup to squeeze in to and that’s provided no more postponed games.

It’s going to get messy to fit fixtures in. I think both will put the kids out in the FA Cup and hope they go out.

Both have games against sides in Europe to that have been delayed. That decision of the PL to give the manc clubs a week off is looking a bit daft now especially when they could have played each other. UEFA will need to waiver the rule of no top flight fixtures on the same night as CL games to.

It certainly looks that way. Have to tell them that if they want the Euros to take place then they have to be flexible with that rule.

Every week Meslier passes the ball straight to opposition, costs them a goal today

And then they fuck up playing out from the keeper and are behind from the spot.
