Had that as well - only during the second half & was fine when I watched the Pool/Spurs game last night

I restarted it three times to see if that solved it, gave up just before I became riled

The flickering is because whatever device you have does not have its refresh rate set to 50hz.

I got perfect pictures up till the 74th minute then it started jumping and finally froze, ended up watching on my tablet.
same thing happened a few weeks ago when I was watching the rugby, also had some buffering on other programmes.
My tv is old school so we have a fire stick, its 3 or 4 years old now, wondering if it overheats after a while, maybe its on its way out and needs replacing?
Contacted Amazon and they gave me some things to try which helped for a bit but now its playing up again.

All UK live tv transmissions are broadcast in 50fps (most of Europe too I think), further afield content is a mix of 60 and 24 I think. If you’re watching a dodgy stream it could be anything.

Most firesticks will default to 60 or 59.94 as that matches with their mostly American content.

Back in the 2018 World Cup I was watching the England games through a sky q box in a different room to the main box. Once I found out i shut all doors/windows so I didn’t run the risk of hearing a goal before I got to see it. 80+degree temperatures at the time didn’t make matters easy!

We put our Amazon Prime stream through my PS4 and it is perfect, and our internet is not the best.
It was rubbish through our new Sony TV.
