Was just thinking this

But big Sam said they’ve become a really good side and haven’t had the results they deserve, another manager who doesn’t understand that missing chances isn’t bad luck.
Quite. If that's the case then can we have our points from the game in January please, as we missed loads and I think Rui made one save. Ta.

You know that gif of Roy Hodgson on the bench as Iceland broke to score in the Euros? Looking in hope and then head on chest? That was the entire Albion support just now. :ROFLMAO:

The annoying things people are spouting the line if he’d been in charge from the start they’d have stayed up.

I assume Andy Carroll is happy with how his career has developed!

There’s a clutch of old English managers with super ego’s. Namely Bruce, Allardyce, Redknapp and Pardew.

I've just watched the West Ham highlights, have the laws changed? I thought if a ref was going to issue a red card the game HAD to be stopped, where as with Newcastle's first goal he played on, allowed the goal and then sent Dawson off.

Yes, but as i said i'm sure that the laws say (or said) that if the ref is issuing a red card he has to stop the game immediately.
To my knowledge that is the law. Fortunately the ref applied common sense. However he will likely be ‘marked down’ for that but as he wore the right kit it should even itself out.

Absolutely agree that he did the right thing, though i also understand why the law is that way too, as for example if Dawson had managed to get back and stop the goal, or foul a player and injure him, he should already have been sent off. Difficult one, but in this instance it turned out "right".

I'm guessing that he mentally noted the need for the booking without realising who the player was in the moment - within the context of already being booked. Leaves him with the choice of not giving the card or breaking protocol

1-0 Chelsea

Nothing more than Chelsea deserve. Man city keeper went on a bit of a walkabout there

City haven't really turned up so far. Chelsea by far the better side.

Basically said there’s an empty goal fill your boots

They're never going to be awful for 90 minutes with the quality at their disposal. Setup nicely for an interesting last 15.
