It needs a overhaul of how referees are accountable for their performances. Like everybody else who works for a living.

It'd be worth the bringing the game into disrepute or whatever he'd be charged with just for the bantz (sorry) of sending the note in, and see how the FA would wriggle out of saying he's not a crap referee

I don't usually criticise referees, but that was absolutely atrocious from Mason. It's not whether it should be a goal or not, but the fact that he kept changing his mind. He is the one person on the pitch who should know what was happening. Either they can take the free-kick or they can't.
He just has to be dropped after that.
