Our game last night might have been poor, but we did win

MC currently losing to Cheltenham of League 2 (no quite as big of a difference in Lg status, but embarrasing for them)

Cheltenham are a very organised team under Duff. Doing a really good job there

Which is what i've been saying. However you have to win against teams like this is how it is. Doesn't have to be pretty.

Good coaching point - Gundogan plays that cutback without looking, knowing that run to the near post is what a supporting player should make, and as a result that's why it's so difficult to defend as it all happens so quickly.

Got to say I really enjoyed that game, Cheltenham were very good I thought, City lots of possession but it wasn't really a backs to the wall type defence, they tried to play it out from the back when they could and tried to play some football at times, City quality told in the end.

A mate's son played for Cheltenham tonight. He also scored the winner for Cheltenham in the last round.

It's what we had before Raul was injured.

Villa score - the Newcastle keeper didn’t look like he even tried to use his hands, just jumped into Watkins, very weird.

Disallowed goal for villa - but the defending, oh my word - at least try and stop the shot, surely?

Grealish did not like getting put on his arse by Shelvey there.

Could see him holding back from lashing out in retaliation, ended up petulantly flicking at his hands as he walked away and judging his forearm into his head like a stroppy little kid.

Villa playing well though.

Newcastle nearly getting a chance to nick one back there because Mings cares more about trying to leave one on Almiron than clear the ball cleanly so it ends up ricocheting behind him.

Good to see Kepa is still wank.

Chelsea generally been making the gulf in class between the two sides pretty apparent though.
