Live Match Discussion 2018/19

I like Lampard and have never minded Derby. The 'Frank Lampard's Derby' label from the media got irritating fast but they are much, much preferable to Villa. Saying that I expect Villa to win and think that they will comfortably.

Well this.

I think he’s just come across as a tit as a manager really. Done okay with Morris helping him though.
I've always liked Lampard, made the most of a fairly limited skill set with damn hard work and came across as an articulate, knowledgeable pundit.

As a manager he's come across as he thinks it's all a bit below him to be honest, particularly where referees are concerned. He also could have played the Chelsea links away this week with a straighter bat than he did.

Villa by far the brighter so far, probably not unexpected. Hopefully Derby can ride the storm as they did for the most part against Leeds.

Derby are very nervous and niggly. An absolute bombscare at corners too.

Villas tactics all season are basically lump it in the box and play off second balls. Derby can’t deal with this at all.

If Derby can actually get some final 1/3 possession they can cause them problems.

It’s a poor game really, both sides look very nervous.

On the showing so far if Derby win today they'd be on for breaking their own points record. Really poor.

Plus most of their players of quality are on loan. Villa will probably lose the 2 centre halves and Abraham this summer, meaning they’ll have to spend £50 million just be where they are now.

Mings at centre half looks like a Rolls Royce. If he can stay unbroken for a period of time he could go onto to have a decent PL career in that position

Bogle caught ball watching and let's El-Ghazi get in front of him. Piss poor from him although it was an excellent ball in.

Terrible defending by Derby, right side of the back four keeping Villa players down the other side onside whilst Cole and Tomori were nowhere near them. Far too easy for them to get the overload on Tomori and then Keogh more interested in grappling with Abraham than attacking the ball, think it's an easy clearance for him if he does. Bogle just asleep back stick and not strong enough to stop El Ghazi when it's too late to do anything about it, lucky to go in off his back.

Derby played the better football so far but not really got any threat at the end of it. Think they'd be better off ditching one of the midfielders to get a proper forward up with Bennett, I'd probably ditch Wilson for Marriott.

The reason I didn’t want Derby in the final was because of this. A lot of hype was made over the win at Leeds when in reality they were shocking for 135 minutes of the 180 in that tie.

Game over that keeper is an absolute buffoon.
