Live Match Discussion 2018/19

Charlton pass the ball into their own net, awful howler from the goalie.

Made me laugh too. Don Goodman said he was heartbroken for the lad though. Obviously less callous than the average football fan.

I was genuinely laughing out loud at the goal.

It's totally knocked the spirit out of Charlton since it went in though.

Has anyone managed to find a stream for this? If so, a PM would be much appreciated :)

At least it's not ended up being the only goal. That would have been mortifying.

Indeed! As funny as it was no game should be decided by such an awful mistake.

Well that's that then. Charlton back in the Championship.

Awful for Sunderland fans. Promotion was in their hands and they finished the season terribly. Winning here for ages and totally on top. All finished with the last kick of the season.

Did feel like that goal was coming at the end then. That is a disaster for Sunderland really. Ross hasn't done a very good job either.

Makes the second season of the documentary all the better though.

The wider football public took the job KJ did for us for granted, but he had a smaller budget than Ross has had.

Why do the pundits keep blaming the defender for the error and not the keeper?

You're supposed to assume that keepers can't play football (they can't on the whole, that's why they get shoved in goal) and so you pass the ball outside the posts.

They are both to blame but clearly the keeper is more at fault.

The keeper should absolutely have got that under control so I find it strange that they lay the blame entirely at the feet of the other, less guilty party on such a big stage. Thankfully it didn't matter in the end.

Had to acknowledge the reason you went fishing.

He had a top half championship squad though. Sunderland’s Squad is shit, the cost of the players is irrelevant.
