I know what you mean but could that work at United? It's not like they're void of any quality at all, they've got players who could be good but are just stifled by Mou. Admittedly, that defence does need a lot of work to it, it's just whether he'd be trusted to bring in players he wants or whether Woodward would just sign whoever.

Can't be a lot worse than this whatever he serves up. They look a real mess.

Didn't get the centre halves he wanted (which is true, but then he was also the one who bought Bailly and Lindelöf for £60m+ and presumably also rubberstamped an extension to Rojo's contract).

If you make six changes and go with something absolutely batshit like Herrera in a back three then you'd best hope it works, and it didn't.

In terms of individuals it's Jones who carries the can. After being so fortunate not to give away the pen in the first half, his efforts vs Kane on the opener were pathetic and he doesn't fill in at all on the second when Shaw is up the pitch, basic stuff. Kenedy's performance vs Cardiff will not be beaten for pure shitness this season but that wasn't far off.
