Ok, opinions and all that. Not for me.
Fair enough
Can't be denied that was a good use of VAR just now though surely..
Yeah I honestly did! Turns his back and his arm is out too much for me
Come on you can't believe that. Turns his back and his arm is exactly where it was when he turned. Listen to Rio after the game and what he said about body position etc... Never been a penalty and never should be a penalty.
He's an idiot for turning his back. Anything could happen once you did that and his arm swings round and is slightly out. Maybe harsh and I can understand why people may disagree but a pen for me

It's the new directive, isn't it. If you make your body bigger than the natural "silhouette" and it hits your hand/arm, you're fair game.
99.99% of the time a defender turns his back in that situation as it's human nature to protect the front of your body. So the handball is not deliberate and his hand isn't in an unnatural position as that's what happens when you jump and turn to block. It's very harsh and if it's a penalty by the laws of the game which i don't think it is although the ex ref on BT said it was then the laws are wrong. Just to clarify on that i don't think the referees know what the laws of the game are when it comes to hand ball. That decision goes against Wolves and i'm fuming.
That's bollocks though isn't it. Making things that could be so easy with VAR become very difficult by including unnecessary words and bullshit like natural silhouette. Stick to what the law should be, deliberate or unnatural position and you get less crazy decisions and everyone understands it.
I think you have to go case by case.
Do you think it was a pen against Doc at Bristol City? I would say yes. But he hasn't really thrust his arms anywhere, I'm pretty sure he's not meant to handle it either and the ball was struck from fairly close to him.
You have your obvious volleyball acts like we had against us vs Brighton and Fulham and they should always be given. I think anything else - if you put yourself in that kind of position, you're the one taking the risk. You might get away with it, you might not.
What I would say tonight is that no United players appealed for the pen. They all just went to set up for the corner.
Not saying I agree chief, that's just where they are.

I’ve never played anything above Sunday league but I certainly wouldn’t be turning my back. So am I the 0.01%?
Face I will possibly give you but not your whole body 180 degrees. Especially when it’s not point blank, there’s a good 6 yard distance.
Yeah. He's maybe turned more than most would be how many times do you see a defender turn away from the shot and it hit them. It happens numerous times a game.
We got one given against us last season...Vinagre vs Bristol at home. Wasn't even looking when it hit him.
