Live Match Discussion 2017/18

Shite from Mangala. Runs with him but no challenge whatsoever.

Keeps us on our toes. The main change is that Derby have definitely moved ahead of Villa in our sights and we can pretty much forget about Boro now.

As we approach the half way point in the season, it appears that Cardiff and Bristol City are not going away. Sheffield United have faded, but Derby County are on a roll and may be the only team likely to threaten the current top three in the second half of the season. Though I would not write off Aston Villa.

We can forget about Villa downwards now, 14 points is too much for any team to make up, just the three to keep an eye on.

Villa struggle against anyone half decent, they can't flat track bully their way into the top two.

Villa should worry about making the top 6 as DW says when they’ve played ourselves, Cardiff and Derby they’ve outplayed. They played with a false number 9 today and are relying on Keinan Davis coming back soon.
The Sheff Utds thin squad is now being exposed.

Celtic 3-0 down - seems like they enjoyed their 69 too much.

Albion v United showing early promise for being a very tedious affair.

1-0 United.

Lukaku gets himself against Gibbs who he comfortably beats to the cross to head in. Poor from Evans to let that happen.

Albion remind me of Wolves under TC. Sort of stay in games for a bit but then fold and have no ideas going forward.

To be fair United don't look a great deal better, Mourinho sets the side up not to lose 90% of the time and then relies on the players doing something to turn it into a win.

Yeah they don’t seem to have much of a plan when they’ve got the ball, quite slow and lacking ideas on the ball. This is still their best start since Fergie’s last season though, it just looks worse due to City being unbelievable

They started the season brilliantly but since Pogba got injured they seem to have slid slowly towards more turgid football. The disappearance of Mkhitaryan probably doesn't help either, he was playing really well earlier in the season and now he's nowhere to be seen.

They've got absolutely no tempo without Pogba. It's scary the difference he makes.

Yeah Mkhitaryan started playing worse and mourinho has dumped him. For me he should be playing behind Lukaku with Mata and Martial/rashford/lingard, he’s their most creative player but Jose doesn’t seem to like that kind of thing

He was absolutely awful for at least six weeks, so he can't complain at being dropped. It seems they've completely fallen out now too.
