1-0 Plymouth, dodgy looking penalty given but awful defending in the build up from Pompey

Plymouth play some decent football. 352 is very much the in fashion formation (a lot of league 2 sides play it) but they have used it very effectively. They dominate the centre of the field very well from back to front and have controlled the possession. In wide areas their full backs have done a very good job of getting the balance right defensively and attacking wise. They've been helped by Portsmouth's poor performance and very rarely committing bodies forward but they've played well themselves.

Kelvin Mellor has had a good game at right wing back. He's 24 in January but he's very tall and athletic, can pick out a good pass and has set up two goals receiving the ball from deep, attacking Nicky Shorey and cutting back a pass inside for a first time shot.

Nicky Shorey is abysmal. He's been at fault for all of Plymouth's goals so far. His England career seems a long time ago now.

Lovely finish by Harry Kane for the U21s. 1-0 up vs France.

Make that 2-0, Kane again (from two inches out this time)

Collectors item, Sanogo has scored

2-2 after Bond (looks awful) pushes a shot straight back out into the box, terrible keeping. Don't think he covered himself in much glory on the first either.

3-2 France. In truth we've done nothing since going 2-0 up.

Oi! Scotsmen and Englenders, this place should be seething with anticipation for tonight.

Not on TV here,very disappointing.

Meh. It's only a friendly. I guess it means more to Scots than it does down here, especially so closely following the referendum. It's like having a fight with your little brother.

I'll certainly be watching with interest, by the only time my heartrate will change is when the commentators and pundits get on my nerves.

I hope Scotland win.....I like Internet meltdowns

You never know, maybe they're playing their way to freedom.

I'll be watching but I really won't lose any sleep if England lose.

Like Glasgow Wolf I suppose.
