LIVE! Match discussion 2014/15

Quaresma has been truly class today. Would that he had bothered himself to train properly... the mind boggles at how good he could have been.

Porto are falling down at the slightest touch (or hint of a touch), but even so you have to say they've been the better side thus far.

If only Alan. He could have been whatever he wanted but just mentally didn't have it.

Yeah..lots of talent but it never really lifted for quaresma

Napoli go 1-0 up in Wolfsburg, handball from Higuain for me, should've been ruled out.

2-0 Napoli, great goal.

Ball in behind from Higuain picks out Hamsik's run from deep and he smashes past the keeper first time, Wolfsburg's defence really stuggling to keep their line with diagonal balls coming in.

What's the aggregate score, Mark? Our shitty Europa coverage hear doesn't say.

Higuain and Hamsik have Naldo on a plate at the mo. Likewise Gustavo looks at 6s and 7s.

It's the first leg Alan.

I think Naldo has been the pick of the Wolfsburg defenders to be honest, he's saved them a couple of times now, Vierinha just isn't a defender and the other two have been poor. Napoli are just doing a much better job of supporting each other at the moment, both with and without the ball they're a lot closer together, Wolfsburg are too open, it leaves them too easy to pick apart and it's making it difficult for them to link up when they do manage to get the ball back.

Not watching tonight but Inter absolutely mullered Wolfsburg in the last round for 15 minutes, then they equalised out of nothing and it all turned around. They are quite vulnerable if you can get at them.

Aye, I was thinking of them playing Inter. Two blue-ish Italian teams in row. *shrug*

Carry on, then.

I think Dost has had more touches in his own box than anywhere else on the field so far, defending corners like a boss but not a lot else.

He's never been much of a contributor in open play, to be fair.

What a brilliant shot from Schuerrle, good save to match it.

#23 for Wolfsburg has been everywhere. Had to be with Gustavo being almost totally a nonfactor.

Seeing both Napoli goals back now... Benaglio is utter shite on that evidence.

Callejon really should be seeing a card for that sort of thing.

Benaglio with a really good 1-on-1 save after we've talked shit about him.

Anyone else think Real missed a trick in selling Higuain but keeping Benzema? I'd rather have the former.

Higuain's a bit immobile, the same kind of issue that prevents Giroud being real top drawer - would probably have him over Benzema though.

Benzema isn't exactly a fleet footed fox either though, he's a bit of a lump and Higuain always looks a far more natural footballer, some of his movement is fantastic.

I don't think either of them a really good enough for that team given the quality in the rest of the squad (fullbacks notwithstanding).

Luiz Gustavo surely must be hooked off soon, he's single-handedly losing this for Wolfsburg.

Albiol is massive at the back, not that Wolfsburg have made it difficult for him.

Have Wolfsburg got Arnold on the bench? He's a decent little footballer and he'll offer them more going forwards than Gustavo.
